Subject: Revision in PDA guidelines regarding utilization of funds for attending conferences.

This is to inform that, with a view to supporting the professional development of faculty members and to promote the research accomplishments of the Institute, the Competent Authority has approved the utilization of the Professional Development Allowance (PDA) of the successive financial year during the current financial year for the purpose of attending international conferences, subject to the following conditions:

• The facility may be availed only when the PDA balance available for the current financial year is insufficient to meet the expenses related to the proposed international conference.
• If a faculty member avails the PDA of the successive financial year and subsequently resigns during the current financial year, they shall be required to refund the entire amount of the PDA drawn from the successive financial year prior to relinquishing their charge.
