Subject:          Request for financial assistance to Post-Doctoral Fellow to visit abroad for attending the Conference/Seminar/Research activities

The Institute Standing Committee in its meeting held on 17.06.2015 reviewed the proposal submitted by Dean (Academics) regarding to provide financial support (similar to the CPDA given to the faculty members of the Institute) to the Post-Doctoral Fellows of the Institute to attend Conference/Seminar or research activities abroad. ISC after detailed deliberations approved the following:

1. A financial support up to Rs.50,000/-  may be provided to Post-Doctoral Fellows of the Institute as matching grant against the expenditure made from their Contingencies.
2. To avail the financial support, the Post-Doc should have completed at least of one year of his/her research stay at IIT Mandi.
3. The research work reported in the paper should have been carried out at IIT Mandi.
4. After the Conference visit, there should be at least 6 months of tenure remaining and the Post-Doc should continue his/her research at IIT Mandi during the period.
5. Conference should be reputed in particular field and the post-Doc should present a paper.
6. The Post-Doc will present a seminar at IIT Mandi after returning from the Conference.
7. The application for seeking the financial support should be submitted to Dean (Academics) duly forwarded by the supervisor along with the recommendations.
