Title: Notification regarding deligation of signatory authority on behalf of Head of Institute to Dean (SRIC) w.r.t. submission of various Research Proposals to various Funding Agencies
On the recommendations of the Deans Committee in its meeting held on 20th October 2015 vide item no. 3, the Competent authority has approved the following;
- Dean (SRIC) has been authorized to sign on behalf of Head of the Institution for the research proposal amounting upto Rs. 50 Lacs.
- The Research proposal, where financial grant sought is more than 50 Lacs, shall be routed with the signature of the Director as Head of the Institution.
- In case of large research proposals, individual or collaborative, where the Institute share exceeds Rs. 1.0 Crore or more should first have review through an internal committee including Director, Dean (SRIC), an expert of the field from within or outside Institute and Chair(s) of School(s). This review should be held prior to submission of the research proposal to funding agency.
The Dean (SRIC), IIT Mandi is requested to take note of the above and process the research proposals accordingly.
