The Senate in its 9th meeting held on 11th May, 2016 vide item no. 9.5 has approved the Comprehensive Examination guidelines for Ph.D. and I-Ph.D. Scholars with following modifications;

1. In Composition of CEC: The CEC must include one faculty member from other School nominated by the Chairperson of the School, may include DC members and/or internal or external experts.

2. For Written examinations: The Topics, syllabus and question paper may be divided in ‘two’ parts to address heterogeneous research interests of scholars.

3. For Viva examinations:  The syllabus of Viva examination may be in the similar areas as that of written examination. An expert may be called during Viva examination.
