On the recommendations of the Senate in its 10th meeting held on 29th June, 2016 vide item no. 10.8 has considered and approved the following:

(i) Distribution of 160 credits across all eight semesters:

The Senate considered some of the recommendations presented in 9th Senate regarding the guidelines for distribution of 160 credits across all eight semesters of the B.Tech Program. After due deliberation, the Senate approved the following:

Each B. Tech student must register for a minimum of 12 credits every semester. He/She may register for maximum of 22 credits in a semester. Relaxation to this will be given only under special circumstances.

The Dean (Academics), IIT Mandi is requested to take note of the above.
