Subject:   New B. Tech (Honors) Programme.

Reference: Notification No. IITMandi/RO-01/2016/5906-11 dated: 21.09.2016

In partial modification of the above referred Notification No. IITMandi/RO-01/2016/5906-11 dated 21.09.2016, The Board of Governor in its 16th meeting held on 10.10.2016 vide item no.16.2.3 has approved the revised Senate recommendation  for B. Tech (Honors) programme which are the following;   

(a)  A student may opt for B.Tech. (Honors) degree if she/he has CGPA of 8.5 or more and no ‘F’ grade till fourth or fifth semester.

(b) For B. Tech (Honors), a student needs to earn additional 12 credits (over and above the required 160 credits for B. Tech degree relevant to her/his discipline as recommended by the faculty advisor.

(c) Student should do DP401P & DP402P: Major Technical Project and DP-301P: Interdisciplinary Socio-Technical Practicum (ISTP) compulsorily and obtain a grade of ‘B’ or above in these courses.

(d) Student should not have received any ‘F’ grade throughout the B.Tech. program.

(e) Student should secure an overall CGPA of 8.5 or more out of 172 credits (160+12).

The other condition of the programme shall remain same as notified earlier vide Notification dated: 21.09.2016.
