Subject:   Reconstitution of Building and Works (B&WC) Committee of the Institute.

Reference: (i) Section 10 (c) of the Institute of Technology Act, 1961 and Clause 8 of the new  Statutes issued by MoE.

                 (ii) O.M. No. IITMandi/RO-01/2020/452-456 dated 18.12.2020

                (iii) O.M. No. IITMandi/RO-01/2023/90-94 dated 21.06.2023

On the approval of the Board of Governors (BoG) in its 38th Meeting held on 29.07.2023 vide item no. 38.3.4, the Building & Works and Committee (B&WC) of the Institute is reconstituted as under:

1. Director, IIT Mandi – (Ex-Officio) - Chairperson                                                                           
2. Dean (I&S), IIT Mandi - (Ex-Officio) - Member
3. Prof. Samit Ray Chaudhuri, Dean (Infrastructure & Planning) & Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Kanpur - Member
4. Dr. Sudip Paul, General Manager (Structural Department), Engineers India Limited, Gurugram -  Member
5. Er. Shambhu Nath Rai, ADG, CPWD, Chandigarh - Member
6. Coordinator Institute Planning & Design Cell, IIT Mandi - Member
7. Superintending Engineer – Member Secretary (Ex-Officio) 

• The Committee shall meet as often as necessary but at least twice a year.
• Three members shall form a quorum for a meeting of the Committee.
• The tenure of the B&WC will be two years w.e.f. 16.08.2023.
• The services rendered by the outgoing members are highly appreciated.
