                                                                                                                 NOTIFICATION

The Senate in its 44th meeting held on September 17, 2024, vide Item No. 44.3.1 has considered and approved the proposal for regularization of reservation policy for direct admission/upgradation/ conversion, etc.  The 7.5 CGPA criteria be kept at par with admissions as mentioned below:

1. Direct PhD
2. Dual Degree (MTech (R) + PhD)
3. M.Tech. (Research)/MS (Research) to PhD conversion
4. PG to PG + PhD Dual Degree Upgradation

In addition, the reservation criteria, as per GoI norms, will be applicable where the eligibility criteria for admission is 7.5

• OBC (NCL): 7.00 CGPA
• SC/ST/PwD: 6.5 CGPA

Further, the above criteria are recommended for M.Tech. admissions as well as for B.Tech. from IITs.
