Office Memorandum

In partial modification of the honorarium under the Deanery of Students of the Institute notified vide O.M. No. IITMandi/Students/Gymkhana/2022-23/082, dated 08.10.2022, the following are the approved guidelines.

The following are approved on the recommendation of the committee constituted to formulate the rules for an honorarium for invited external experts/speakers under the Deanery of students. 

• Technical workshop, talk and session: Honorarium will be paid upto Rs. 5,000/- for half day (3-4 hours) session and one can take only 2 sessions in a day hence the honorarium can be paid upto Rs. 10,000/- for a full day (8 hour) session.*

• Cultural/Literary workshop and session: Honorarium will be paid Rs. 700/- (or upto  Rs. 1,500/- on case to case basis) per invited speaker for 3 hour session.*

(*Extra payment will be applicable on a case to case basis upon recommendation of the Faculty Advisor of the respective Society.)

• Travel and accommodation Charges: 

• Food & accommodation rates as per the guest house of IIT Mandi in single occupancy will be borne by the student gymkhana budget.

• For travel (to & fro) from location of origin of journey to IIT Mandi including local travel the amount up to Rs 8,000/- per person can be reimbursed, upon submission of travel bills.
