Subject: Charges for Use of Heater/Blower by Outsiders in Hostel Premises

Approval of the Competent Authority, is hereby conveyed for use of heaters/blowers on payment of a nominal charges of Rs. 50/- per appliance per person per day, in case of outsiders availing hostel facilities for workshops, short-term courses, conferences, internships, and similar programmes with immediate effect.

The following conditions will be applicable:

• The capacity of such appliances should not exceed 800 W per room.

• Outsiders shall arrange heaters/blowers at their own cost, either through purchase or rental. The hostel administration will not provide such appliances.

• Any person using a heater/blower in the hostel will be deemed to have agreed to the following undertaking:

“I undertake to pay for any damages that may occur due to any incident of fire caused by the heater/blower being used by me.”
