OFFICE MEMORANDUM

The Senate, in its 47^th meeting held on September 18, 2025, vide Item No. 47.3.5, has approved the measures for the timely completion of the Ph.D. programme in 04 years:

·         Appropriate customized Ph.D. level courses shall be offered. 

·         The Comprehensive Examination shall be conducted at an early stage so that students may start their serious research work by the end of the first year. 

·         Constant monitoring of students shall be emphasised for the timely completion of the Ph.D. Programme within 04 Years. 

·        A consent form from external examiners shall be obtained before proposing a list of examiners to the Dean (Academics) (03 foreign examiners and 03 Indian examiners).
