(Proposal for Extension of semester-wise credit limit from 22 to 25)

 The Board of Academics (BoA) in its 61^st meeting held on 23^rd January, 2026, vide Item No. 61.20 discussed the proposal for extension of semester wise credit limit. After detailed deliberation, the BoA resolved to approve that, the maximum allowable course registration limit per semester for UG students be increased from 22 credits to 25 credits. This credit limit extension will be applicable for 4^th semester and onwards. This limit will serve as the upper bound, and normal advising as per the program structure mechanisms will continue to apply.
