In continuation to the notification no. IITMandi/AR(Academics)/2014-15/737 dated 15-09-2014, the Competent Authority has approved the conversion of TU grades to IIT Mandi as per new grading system as follows:

Further, conversion factor of 01 IIT Mandi credit = 1.5 ECTS credits will be used for grade computation purposes.
The above grades & credits conversion is applicable for those IIT Mandi students who go on semester exchange to foreign institutions where the ECTS system is followed
The credit of each course will be converted and then rounded off to a single decimal point using a 0.05 threshold rule.
