The Competent Authority on the recommendation of Dean (SRIC) has approved the following Medical Benefits for Project Staff:

MEDICAL BENEFITS

1. OPD facility for self will be made available to the project staff at the Medical Unit of IIT Mandi. The Institute hospital will issue medicines to the project staff. Every month Rs. 100/- (one hundred only) will be deducted from the contingency or any other suitable head of the project to meet partially the expenditure incurred by the hospital. However, this concession of availing medical facility with minimum payment is subject to a maximum of Rs. 1000/month for each staff. Any outside referral shall not be reimbursable. A medical booklet shall be provided to each project staff.

2. Medical Insurance

   Full time project staff will be covered under medical insurance scheme similar to BTech/postgraduate students. However, the premium amount will be recovered from eligible staffs' salary. 

NOTE: These Rules will be applicable w.e.f. 1st January, 2016 onwards.
