                                                                            Execution of Minor/specialization in UG programme

On the recommendations of the committee, the Board of Academics (BoA) in its 49th meeting held on 28th March, 2023, vide Item No. 49.8 discussed the proposal of execution of Minor/specialization in B.Tech. programme.  After detailed deliberation, the BoA resolved to approve the proposed guidelines, as placed below:

1. Students intending to do a minor at the beginning of the 3rd semester, keeping in mind the prerequisite of courses. This should be done preferably via a facility in the OAS.
2. This information is to be shared with the schools involved so that they can plan for the corresponding courses involved in the minor.
3. The schools will then indicate how many students they can accommodate in the courses.
4. If possible, the schools can try to offer minor related courses every semester, so that students get multiple opportunities to complete the minor.
