                                                                                            NOTIFICATION

                                        Revision in the rates for hiring of taxis or use of personal vehicle (own car) for Official Purpose

The Deans’ Committee in its meeting held on January 09, 2025, vide Item No. DC-7.4.1(2) has approved the revision in rates for hiring of Multi-Utility Vehicle (MUV)/Sedan taxis for official purposes at the Institute. The taxis may be hired on a need basis (as and when required).

Likewise, the Competent Authority has also approved the revision in the rate of reimbursement for claims on the use of personal vehicles for official purposes @Rs. 19 per K.M. and toll charges (subject to submission of toll receipts/payment proof of toll receipts/proofs of travel along with the TA claim form) for all categories of cars.

The utilization of taxis for official purposes shall be applicable with immediate effect.  The revised rates, terms, and conditions are available at the following link:

It supersedes the earlier O.M. No. IITMandi/F/Administration/INT-A05/4986-4995 dated 11.01.2022.
