                                                                                                          NOTIFICATION

The Deans’ Committee in its meeting held on September 17 & 22, 2025, vide Item No. DC-8.3.22 and 8.3.23 have approved the proposals regarding special provisions under GFR for procurement related to scientific equipment and consumables for research purposes, as well as the revised exemption limits under the Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order, 2017:

1. Adoption of Special Provisions under GFR for Procurement of Scientific Equipment and Research Consumables:

The Competent Authority has approved the adoption of special provisions under GFR for procurement related to scientific equipment and consumables required for research purposes.  The Dean (SRIC) shall be the Competent Authority for purchases make under SRIC and the Dean (Finance & Accounts) shall be the Competent Authority for purchases under the Institute Store & Purchase, with responsibility to determine whether an item qualifies as scientific/research equipment or consumable. 

2. Adoption of Revised Exemption Limits under the Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order, 2017:

The Competent Authority has approved the adoption of the revised exemption limits.
