OFFICE MEMORANDUM
The Deans’ Committee in its meeting held on September 17 & 22, 2025, vide Item No. DC-8.3.26 and 8.3.27 have approved the consistent overhead policy for extramural funds and provisions for Negotiation after a Reverse Auction (RA).
- Consistent Overhead Policy on Extramural Funds:
The Deans’ Committee approved that, unless otherwise specified by the sponsoring agency, an Institute overhead of 20% shall be applied uniformly across all sponsored and CSR-funded projects.
2. Provision for Negotiation After Reverse Auction (RA):
The Deans’ Committee approved that negotiation shall be permitted only for sponsored research project equipment/purchases in cases where the quoted cost exceeds the sanctioned amount.
