Consequent upon the approval of the Director, IIT Mandi, the following committee has been constituted for framing the guidelines and policies for Seminar and Institute Colloquia Cell consequent to dissolving of Institute Colloquia Committee:

The above committee will report to the Director and submit its recommendations regarding talk/seminars which may be considered for a 2 credits pass-fail course for all the students.

As approved, all students have to attend a minimum of 18 talks in one academic year (1st Aug to 31st July). These talks include invited seminars & Institute Colloquia. Invited seminars will be arranged by the Seminar & Institute Colloquium Cell with the help of School/Centre Chairs. Institute Colloquia will be arranged by Seminar and Institute Colloquium Cell).  A total of 31 such talks will be arranged in one academic year, among these 8 will be Institute Colloquia and 23 will invited talks (SCEE: 3, SBB: 2, SCS: 2, SMME: 2, SHSS: 2, SMSS: 2, SCENE: 2, SPS: 2, SoM: 2, IKSMHA: 2, CAIR: 2 talks). If a student fails to attend 18 talks in an Academic year, then the student will get change to make-up the same in subsequent years except in the final year.

The services rendered by outgoing Coordinator (Dr. Srikanth Sugavanam) and Co-Coordinator (Dr. Shashank Pathak) of Institute Colloquia Committee are well recognized and placed on record.
