NOTIFICATION
(Ph.D. Scholar Cap for Faculty)
Consequent upon the approval of the Chairman Senate, faculty member may hire two additional scholars from Institute fund beyond the permitted cap of 6 scholars on the following conditions:
- Ph.D. Scholar selection process should be completed before December, 2023.
- Additional allotment per faculty does not extend to the different roles/appointment in different schools/centres.
- This is one-time additional allotment and does not permit to deviate from the existing norms of the Institute.
- Scholars admitted through UGC/CSIR/ICMR/Project etc. govt. agencies shall not to be counted under the cap of 6 Ph.D. scholars. This arrangement supersedes Notification No. IITMandi/Acad/Senate/2020/16313-318 dated 10-12-2020 point no. (a).
