NOTIFICATION

                                                                     (Issue of magazines and periodicals on loan)

Henceforth in addition to other print books, the users can get the magazines and periodicals issued on loan from the Library.  As per present practice in the Library, these were available for the visitors to read only inside the Library compound.  In this regard, the following is implemented with immediate effect:

(i) Magazines and periodicals which are more than one year old, irrespective of cost, can be issued on loan as per existing procedures applicable for issue of other print books.

(ii) The recent magazines and periodicals costing less than Rs. 500/- can also be issued on loan. In such cases, the Library may procure more than one copy (say three copies). Extra copies can be issued as per existing procedure, keeping one master copy in the Library for the visitors.
