NOTIFICATION

Consequent upon the approval of the Competent Authority, the following committee has been constituted for framing the guidelines and policies for research-based education at IIT Mandi:

3. Associate Dean (Research)                                                    : (Member)
4. Dr. Arnav Bhavsar                                                                      : (Member)
5. Dr. Maheshreddy Gade                                                             : (Member)

The committee will look into following aspects:

1. Methodology to implement the concept that one faculty may mentor and motivate small group of interested UG students of IIT Mandi through his/her Scholars/PG students.
2. To seek advantage, procedure to popularize the proposal and to select the interested students.
3. To suggest extra /supplementary credits with respect to the duration of attending, if feasible.
4. Any other recommendations in this regard.

Research-based education involves integrating Research principles into the learning process. It benefits the students in active and inquiry based learning which enhance their communication and problem solving skills. In the interest of the Institute it may be beneficial to motivate the young minds towards research to further develop their comprehension in higher education at IIT Mandi.

The committee shall submit its recommendations to the Dean (Academics), on priority.
