Sub: Forwarding of application for employment.

The institute vide notification no. IIT Mandi/RS-93/2012/8571-73 dated 19/12/2012 had inter alia provided that applications for outside employment in respect of permanent employee and employee on contract for two or more years shall be restricted to two. On revisiting the issue it has been observed that most employees are loyal and worked with dedication for the progress of the institute. The institute, in turn, provides them an environment in which they can get job satisfaction and rapid career progression. However, a few members may wish to leave to fulfill their personal aspirations.

1. Accordingly, it has been decided to raise the limit to four applications in a calendar year, taken together for application through proper channel and NOC for the purpose.
2. It has been further decided that prior intimation of application for outside employment shall be mandatory for issuance of NOC.

           The revised provisions come into force with immediate effect.
